NiziU Nina denies dating guitarist Hiroto Wakai, JYP calls relationship senior-junior
The group NiziU denied dating rumors between Nina and a guitarist nine years her senior.
Nina's agency JYP Entertainment told OSEN on the afternoon of the 6th that reports of a romance between Nina and Hiroto Wakai, the guitarist of Japanese band Mrs. Green Apple, are "a senior-junior relationship with familiarity, not a romance."
Earlier on the 4th, Japanese media Shūkan Bunshun and others reported the dating rumors, saying they captured Nina with Hiroto Wakai enjoying a late-night date.
NiziU has previously formed a connection through a joint stage with Mrs. Green Apple, and Motoki Omori of Mrs. Green Apple also worked on NiziU's song "Always." However, with JYP immediately denying the dating rumors, the report was found to be untrue.
Hiroto Wakai's side also told local media, "There are parts that are not true, but fundamentally it is the artist's private life."
NiziU is a group formed through the global audition project "Nizi Project," jointly produced by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music.
