Back when 1D was still together, so like 8-10 years ago, there was an anti named Mr. X who was plotting to kill them at one of their concerts. I don't remember if shots were actually fired or not, but the news quickly hit the media, and it was all over Twitter and everything. So scary for us Directioners, especially the Harry girls bc Mr. X was mainly targeting Harry.

Yeah that's definitely not what happened. It's not a laser, it's the reflection of a sign on something shiny, or from a camera of some sort. It's the exact same color as the signs in the area being filmed. Also found translations stating that C-stays said no one actually present saw evidence of a laser at all. Tbh it wouldn't be the first time International fans of a group made up a narrative using video footage.

Edited to add: It's incredibly suspect that only translations & English are being used in these posts, and not even translations by fluent people but by apps. While I'm finding actual posts in Chinese w/English translations saying that the Weibo posts had already been reported by fans before the event.
