The exposure certain idol appearances bring for their dramas and movies isn't a horrible thing. But, I lowkey sometimes only watch a drama because someone I know of is in it and then it turns out to not be mass produced slop made to feed into the fanbase the show knows it'll get from having kpop fans who know nothing about TV quality be its primary audience. A biggest example is mask girl. I initially only watched it for Jeonghwa's cameo but realizing she was only there for one episode I figured I'd sttay for just 1 more episode to see if it was interesting enough to keep going and i binged it until my body couldn't physically handle staying away that day anymore (falling asleep) and finished fully binging the following day. And mind you these are like 1hr long and there's 7 of them, krissy attention span don't be good like that all the time
