you know what, i respect it i was just surprised because culture shock, i dont know how student loans work at all especially in america but i always see people complain about never being able to pay them back are they really that messed up?

Imagine offering an 18 year old a blank check and expecting them to be responsible. I don't have as good an excuse since I was 37 when I went back to college. I got 2 degree's but all the info they give you on what you can expect to make is an outright lie. I make more money doing a job I don't need a degree for than I would if I went and found a job using my degree. If I went and got a job in my field of study I'd start at about 16.00 and I make almost 24ish now. Thats why I have zero guilt about not paying my student loans off. Imagine paying 50k for a job that will net you just enough to pay on your loan. Never mind actually being able to have a place to live and eat.
