Following a long time with no updates from the group, fans noticed that all VCHA social media profiles — from their Instagram and YouTube to their X and TikTok — have been “blacked out.” The content shared on the profile in the past has also been completely wiped.

These sudden updates coming with no prior warning have convinced fans that VCHA could very likely be facing disbandment.

Others think the “social media blackout” could be hinting at a rebrand instead.

VCHA faced major problems following their debut after former member KG departed from the group on December 2024, citing horrifying accusations of abuse and mistreatment. Only months later, member Kaylee also left the group on July 2025.

Since KG’s departure the girl group has been on hiatus, while the company itself has been embroiled in a legal feud with KG and her family. You can read more about it below.

There's apparently a lot that's come out from JYPE's side about this which casts the whole thing in a different light.

Like for example, they definitely were not being secretly filmed.
But also, JYPE offered a settlement agreement where KG could leave the group, debt free. Instead of responding to this offer, her lawyer launched a case against JYPE.

I haven't read the documents myself, but that's what I've gleaned from the screenshots of it I have seen so far. JYPE have also refuted some of the accusations wrt dietary stuff, but that's a bit hazy: It's clear that what the group members were eating was being written down, but also, based on what was written down, it doesn't appear to be that strict (IE, their parents were allowed to cook for them, they had pizzas, etc.). I dunno!!

It appears she left after a bust-up with the rest of the group. There's allegations of a Zoom call in which she was trying to get the others to leave with her, and when they didn't, she left on her own? Something like that.

JYPE is also alleging that the reason for all of this is because she was agitating to go solo. She had an ongoing relationship with some music producers, and had written four-five songs with them, and wanted JYPE to buy those songs.

I mean knowing JYPe at the Korean side, they are known to not make a big fuzz about members leaving or hold grudges, so I'd be amazed if they would try mess with this girl. I do not know what their American branch is capable of tho. All you said about JYPe is more believable than the negative stuff she claimed about them.

If you take into consideration how I have seen many idols under JYPe eat pizza, fries, whatever they want also makes me lean towards to JYPe on some points.

Yeah, I've seen some summarization posts pointing out that, at best, KG's mom seems to have been heavily involved, constantly complaining about not having enough money, and was trying to manipulate things to try to wring more money out of the situation. (One example: KG's mom talked about shopping around for KG's solo songs.) (Which also shows the lack of understanding KG's mom had about the industry that she thought she could just have KG go solo on the side.)

I feel like we see a lot of these questionable cases end up involving parents who got greedy and seem to think entertainment companies will fold to their demands.

Just to add: it's also possible that KG legitimately did have a bad time and being an idol was terrible for her mental health. That can both be true and it be true that JYPE was not as malicious as originally presented.

Yeah, I want to caveat that I have not read the whole document, and the snippets/screenshots that I've seen don't address all of the claims with regards to mistreatment/abuse.

I think we all know that the industry is brutal, sadly. We've all heard the stories. I'd like to think it's gotten better. But then I see how toxic the fanbase is about idols making small mistakes with their singing, not "putting in enough effort" in their dancing, the weird comments idols who aren't stick thin get, the crazy reactions from dating... I doubt the companies will ever truly improve unless the broader culture does. I'm sure at this point they'll argue that it's their job to prepare idols for the harsh reality that they will face once they debut. That it would be negligent of them to not ensure idols were "perfect", because that would open up to idols to vicious hate trains that we know can have tragic consequences.

I also don't want to talk too badly about KG's mother because from her own account, she was under some financial pressure from the divorce. I suspect she thought that her daughter becoming a popstar would mean that the money would coming rolling in immediately - and it would have done if JYPE hadn't spent so much on accommodation and marketing etc. Even in the western industry, it takes a while before you actually start making money even if you're a roaring success (which VCHA wasn't... which also probably contributed). Which is no good when the mortgage payments are due, right? So I don't want to characterise her as some kind of psychotic stage mom.
