My mom told me a story about when she was at a school thing with my littlest brother. She saw a little girl with nice toenails, and commented on it, asking her if they were professionally done. The little girl scoffs and said “of course!”. She then looks at my moms nails, which were also painted, and said “those were definitely done at home” She wasn’t wrong though
