Kids shouldn’t be allowed at trampoline parks pt 2 (1 Viewer)

I made a thread about this before but I’m making another.

Little kids at trampoline parks are not just annoying, they’re downright dangerous. Trampoline parks generally have rules about what’s allowed, with a focus on basic safety. You know, things like rules banning running on the trampolines, requiring you to watch where others are before crossing somewhere to make sure you’re not getting in the way of others, not letting multiple people be on an individual trampoline square, etc.

What do kids constantly do? All of that. They run around without taking even the slightest note of who’s doing what around them. You could be halfway through a backflip and they’d run directly underneath you, and then not even notice that you almost landed on their head. Instead, you’re the one who gets startled and you have to modify what you’re doing to make sure they’re safe due to their disregard of the rules. And none of the staff even try to enforce those rules for the little kids so it just never improves. Any time you go to a trampoline park, 90% of the time is spent looking around trying to see where the the kids are and whether there’s an open space and whether said open space would be safe to do anything at or if there are kids nearby that will probably prevent you from being able to do anything.

Also I’m not saying that all little kids are like this, or that no older people blatantly disregard rules and safety. But almost all little kids are exactly like that, while for older people it’s a notable minority. I wish there was at realistic age limit, or a divided kids section, or something like that. Anything like that. Because the way it is now can be incredibly frustrating. Why even have rules if you’re never going to enforce it for anyone?

Jokes aside I've never been to a trampoline park but divided sections sounds like a given. I love kids but there are plenty of places where people need to be allowed space without having to watch out for someone elses little goblins.

I believe kids are the mirror of their parents, in any way, shape or form

If the parents don't give a f, 98% of them don't give a f (margin of error for divine intervention)

if the parents are respectful and well-mannered, 87% of them are (margin of error for stupid teachers and bad friendship influences)

Bottom line is, Educate your kids with Love, respect and devotion! Because there's a combined probability of 98.26% they'll be running on the damn trampoline!

I really understand your frustration. You should have a trampoline in your garden if you have one instead lol.

Unfortunately the type of trampolines there are at trampoline parks would be unrealistic and extremely expensive to put in an outdoors at home setting. Trampoline parks have lots of padding around, are in ground trampolines (safer but way more expensive), long trampolines to do longer tumbling passes, and soft pit areas. At home trampolines can be used, but they aren’t the same unfortunately.

I think the reason it’s probably not a big thing to have divided sections comes down to money and shifting demographics during the day. If they have a separate section for kids and adults, it might get harder to decide how much area is for each, and during the day the proportions of little kids to adults could shift which could make one area practically empty while the other is packed. But unfortunately, the way it is now is imo just as bad as that theoretically.
