KINGDOM Round 2 Performance Ranking

1. BTOB - Back Door
The main reason why this edges out the number two spot to
claim first place is because I think the remix of the song
into rock was genius and sounded amazing. The literal back door
performance concept was really well done and everyone had their
perfect moments to shine.


2. Stray Kids - I'll Be Your Man
A truly emotional and beautiful performance by Stray Kids, they really
tried their best to showcase their vocals and rap. The concept was extremely
well executed and the storyline was so clear and poignant. Han really hard
carried the vocal moments but everyone did so well in their respective parts
and their acting was really good too.


3. SF9 - The Stealer
The execution of the gang concept was really cool and I admired the extreme
effort they put into the choreography both fighting wise and dancing wise.
The cinematography in this one was well done. They did a lot better letting each
member shine!


3. Ikon - Inception
They had some excellent moments in this performance and I think this is one
rendition of a song that I'd legit listen to just by itself. What they lacked a bit in comparison
to everyone else was that I felt like they were too focused on the performance
to the point that it affected their facial expressions and their acting. Vocally
and rap wise the cover is excellent but I hope next time they can sink more
into the performance.


4. The Boyz - O Sole Mio
A beautiful performance by the Boyz and was very well conceived. Why does it rank so low even
though I think it's a great performance? Well out of all of the covers I
felt like it was too similar to the original and though it wouldn't be a thing
I'd count against them normally, since all of the others tried
so hard to fit the song to their own style or a brand new style, it felt
like this one wasn't as memorable for that reason. Also please show off
your vocal line more, because I know that New and Sangyeon are great


5. ATEEZ - Rhythm Ta
It made me really sad that to me Ateez went from having the best performance
in the show so far (they still do) to the weakest one of this round. Although
they really had a great concept and their own performance was good, the
execution of the concept felt more disorganized than their former one and all
of the others. That was mostly what let it down, is that it had a lot of
great moments but the moments in between those moments I completely forgot.​

I hate that this is a competition show I just wanna see all of them shine.
My ranking for the second round is:
1. Ateez -
I loved it! I like how they arranged the song it sounded great. Hongjoong’s rap was a nice touch as well and I liked seeing more of Yeosang. I think the only thing I was kind of meh about was when Hongjoong did the speaking part near the end, I felt like it took me out of the mood for a second.

2. Stray Kids -
Yesss show off your vocals!! I loved the entire idea behind the stage and thought they did so well even though it’s a difficult song. The only thing I didn’t like is I think there was too much happening at times that I got a little lost.

3. BTOB -
Honestly was not expecting to like their stage but I really enjoyed it, there was nothing I really disliked but I preferred the other performances just a little more.

4. Sf9 and The Boyz
I liked them both the same, for SF9 I thought it was a major improvement based off their past two performances but I felt like the focused too much on the fighting andstage setups more than the actual performance so it didn’t really feel like a real performance for me personally. The Boyz I thought would add a little something to the song but like you said they really didn’t change anything and I didn’t think it was very memorable. I wish they would have maybe gone more full out with the concept, make it like a festival, more ballroom dancing, make it sound like a song of their own, etc...

5 IKON -
Oof I really didn’t like this one at all sadly the rearrangement of the song was very IKON but I personally didn’t like how it sounded, it all felt very disjointed to me.

super looking forward to catch up to this. kinda worried that Ateez picked Rythm Ta. I hoped that the iKON song being picked would be either I‘m OK, Goodbye Road or something fun like Bling Bling. I think it wasn’t the smartest choice to pick a song already performed in the intro stage.

Also I love that O Sole Mio was the pick The Boyz did. It‘s the best song of SF9 with Mamma Mia in my opinion so that’s something I look forward too

I definitely agree with wingfrost though, I wish kingdom was less of a competition show and more just a for fun groups covering each other and doing collabs show. I feel that would've been a lot more fun.

it seems like the groups get really stressed out by it so i hope that they don't beat themselves down too hard if they don't win
