Em I the only one who thinks forced apologizes, especially ones that turn out for fake things, only cheapen future appologize for the company? I mean, you know the company is going to make the person apologize one way or another. Doesn't make it sound like any sincere thought went in,

Wasn't two kpop stars called out recently because their apology seemed to similar?

Oh yea Jaehyun's apology was made and another Itaewon idol copy-pasted it

The thing with apologies for fake scandals is that people think the idol actually did the things he is accused for. People always say "he apologized so he did it" but they don't see that companies due it to let the scandal die out soon

I'm pretty damn sure BTS haven't actually apologized for most of the bad things they've done. They have acknowledged the situation, but it's only in very rare cases they have apologized.....

im well aware that they haven't apologized for everything but they have apologized for some of their bigger issues in the past. again not everything, but a lot of stuff that their fandom had a problem with i guess.

Well true enough, I'm not one to complain about reactions bcs the end goal of apologies is to get the situation to die down and if it dies down without one (or doesn't even come up) then they aren't gonna bring it up with an apology.

But like.... they have a whopping 2 (or maybe 3, I think there might have been an apology for one of them) uses of the N-word that weren't even acknowledged by Bighit.

Nope, the thing most ARMY claim is an apology is actually a blanket statement from Bighit released around the Jimin atomic bomb T-shirt time.
It apologized for the T-shirt and that they will lie... re-consider or think about all past transgessions and apologize for those too.

It was smth like that. Not anything specific, but a very general blanket statement/apology that COULD be applied to the N-words.

I personally don't like to count general statements like that as proper apologies.

PS: I also want to say RM esp very clearly has since learned from his mistakes etc and has actualy thought about his actions deeply. He has addressed similar issues in the past as well and how his actions might have hurt others and I honestly commend him for that... I don't think he is racist and I think he is trying his best to be the best person he can.

but still... no apology anywhere.
