Do you watch any kpop podcasts
as i only watch soju talk and i love podcasts so curious if there more kpop ones out there

I listen to a few podcast but no kpop ones...

I watch 48talk, which mostly concentrates on AKB48 and the other 48 groups, but also talks about what IZ*ONE is doing and sometimes when something big happens about kpop events as well.

And then I listen to 3 other podcasts, none of which are even idol related....

I watched 48talk once it good but i feel like im too late to get into akb48 as it feels like the group is going to disband soon

when i watched that podcast all they said was members keep leaving and there no plans to add new people there tv show has been cancelled etc etc

It's been a rough year!

And that isn't necessarily a bad thing no new members are being added, because most fans agree AKB48 had too many members and the majority of members weren't really known and the members of the newer generations were struggling to get attention.

AKBingo was cancelled but people think that might've been bcs it's been kinda shitty for a while now and people think they might get a new show in the future.

I mean AKB has a thai unit tht is EXTREMELY popular. Like popular enough to create a 2nd Thai sub-unit!
They also had a chinese group SNH48 that became too popular and broke off and claims "it was never affiliated" and now just have chinese teams like AKB48 Team SH and Team TP....
They also have a unit in the philippines that is kinda failing.

They are kinda international.

I am in akb48 discord thing and it comes across that it hard to find videos as when i started to get into it they were sending me spread sheets full of links

they need to get more on youtube etc
it shouldn't fully rely on fans for subtitles with kpop more and more fans cba to find subtitles it kinda expected

but still stan Keyakizaka, they have a whole website where they collect all the subbed things!

I also mean you have to magically come across akb somehow already
cause unlike kpop they keep pretty much to themselves
no overlap in the western world as much as ive seen

Western world yeah, but their entire purpose is to be localized.... That they are the idols you can meet and see and talk with...

Yeh but they kinda stopped focusing on that for a while now by what ive seen
Theyve gone on kcon
they sent members to produce 101
and i may be wrong here but they dont have a theatre for every unit/group anymore

true, but those are all recent developements aka they are trying to change shiz.

I think they are slowly modernising akb and somewhat going the kpop route
as after produce 101 they made a unit for the members from akb
but i think it going be a slow process as alot the fans are bit controlling and dont like change [and some are creeps]
as alot them hated that they went on produce 101 and get angry when fans talk about izone [funny to watch]
so i think akb have been trapped into a corner by there own fans
they want to become more modern yet there fans dont want it at risk of everyone else moving on without them
