Kpop Theory: Fire By EXID is a scrapped Tri.BE song (1 Viewer)

you may have heard of TRI.BE as well as EXID if you're a super avid girl group fan like me. If you're particularly a fan of either you'd know that one of EXID's members, Ann Elly/LE writes a lot of songs for TRI.BE like their We Bare Bears OST (and yes that is a real thing it's so cute), LORO, Doom Doom Ta etc. Many of you may know that EXID released their 10 year anniv/reunion song Fire in late 2022 featured on the accompanying album called "X". If you've listened to the song as well as seen the music video aesthetics I think it's a no brainer that it differs quite a bit from EXID's typical style. I thought about it for a while and after remembering that LE does tons of writing for Tri.Be, a group more suited for this style, I thought it only made sense that the song was originally meant for them but got included in X instead. Tri.Be had also released a single album earlier the same year in which LE has credits for all of the included songs and one of the arrangers on Fire (shinsadong tiger) has a credit on both songs from Tri.Be's mini album as well. Of course this theory isn't as interesting as Irene secretly being North Korean (which is utter nonsense) but I think it's interesting to think about for a while
