I think its to boost their playrate & help the champ popularity when they first come out

They usually do that w/ reworks/midscopes too like Syndra was very strong when her midscope initially got released (shes still strong but much more fair after the nerfs)

I think so too! I feel like maybe cosmic or coven might be coming later in the year
