Life is annoying sometimes (1 Viewer)

Without boring you of everything that has been happening in my life, today a new thing for me to stress over happened. I was out taking pictures of my chicks this morning (to actually make a thread to introduce you all to them since I talk about them so much) and I noticed Penny (one of our long tail chicks) staying hunched over. She’s too young to be egg bound and after a close look over by my mom and I we realized she hasn’t been eating and is missing quite a bit of feathers on one leg.
Tbh she doesn’t look good, our chicks don’t mind being held but they don’t like the process of us trying to catch them and today she didn’t run away from us at all when we went to pick her up. Then when I did pick her up she just sort of became a dead weight in my arms.
We set up a space in our house to watch her more closely, get her eating again and just to keep her away from any possible bullying from the other chickens.
If she makes it to Monday (poultry veterinarians aren't open until then where we live) we’ll be taking her in which we really can’t afford right now but we’re very attached to our chickens.
I literally just feel like life keeps throwing and throwing things at me and I just need a breather.

Anyways please ignore me and continue with your usual KS posting, reacting, lurking and whatnot.

I'll be rooting for Lil' Penny to make a quick recovery. Animals can sense when you are stressed, so just try to think optimistically and send Lil' Penny lots of love.

Ohh no I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully she’ll be recovering asap, running around happily like she used to
