thank you so much for reading it. I wish my English vocab was better tbh. but it was fun to write! ♥ Hanse is always supercool. I think everyone in Victon is, I tend to go through waves when I love them so much and listen to their songs on repeat but I still haven´t chosen my bias!!! the audacity!!!
They're all so great, it took me a while to pick a bias but Hanse just got a grip on me :shockedcover:

it generally takes me a long time to pick a bias unless there is like someone who immediately just speaks to me like Kevin in the Boyz or Vernon because I just feel like we could vibe but otherwise it´s a struggle. not their fault, they are all awesome, I was just born as Libra :D. you should see me buying groceries :D.

I totally get what you mean, I spend forever trying to pick a bias or doing my groceries or literally anything that involves a decision LOL

"WAKE UP" someone was shaking her and not really gently she had to admit. Her head bursting, she let out some unpleasant words. Tired... headache..NO were the first words that came to mind as she was turning her body from one side to another. Jesus, this was uncomfortable but even in the state of ... something close to a hangover she sensed something wasn´t right. That little something wasn´t just the fact that she was feeling cranky already, not yet having faced the reality of her life but the fact that the clothes that she was wearing did not resemble her favourite hoodie and sweatpants. EXCUSE ME? WHAT? the clothes that she was wearing were heavy and had several layers. "Wake up and go to work!" someone was continuously yelling at her as she was trying to sit up and find .. air to breathe. What the hell??? Where is her beloved room? What are those colourless walls and most importantly why was she .... wearing a hanbok?
Checking her own clothes up and down, looking at what were those layers hiding until she could find the tights. How? Was this a dream? A mandatory moment of denial, she pinched herself maniacally, totally blocking the nearby sounds. "YOU DUMBASS, YOU ARE RUNNING LATE TO WORK!" To work? what was that? why could she suddenly understand Korean perfectly? Someone was picking her up, a man in his 50s, probably someone she should know. "Joon-ah!" so even her name turned to be Korean. Okayyy???? But there was no time for hypothetical questions, the man (who was probably the person´s, THIS PERSON´S whose body she was inhabiting - sorry, sorry, father was meant to go to work. So she just followed his will, let him pick her up (well, if he was so willing, let him enjoy the full weight, ha!) and lead where she was supposed to be going.
"JOOON-AH" a smiley girl was running to her (she was only hoping that was a friend not some frenemey, fake enemy or whatever - too many kdramas , too many!) and pulling her hand. "We are running late! Oh the lady is going to be so angry!" the lady? angry? she could imagine anger, she could imagine that dealing with someone else´s emotions would be even harder than with her own. Let´s get back to the basics, anger = bad, anger must avoided and if Mr Queen had taught her anything it was a) just deal with it till you can change back to your present time b) never drink ANYTHING at the palace because that is poison.
Oh damn, why wasn´t she born as a queen ? Why wasn´t she to marry a rich handsome king? Such a picture in her head made her laugh, so she didn´t lose her sense of humour and the anxiety crimpling her body let her relax a little. She could deal with that later, she could deal with anything, make a plan and yadada but the most important thing was .... to survive a day. Little by little. If this was just a dream, she was hella going to enjoy it (please bring Jun in it, please bring Jun in it, he´d look so good in the traditional clothes of Joseon!!!) and if it wasn´t, well HELL that was another story, but as long as you live, you can deal with it. Now, all she had to do was to actually understand what kind of a person Joonah was because ... it´s not like she wanted to make the same mistake as the stupid heroines in those sageuks when they just draw attention to themselves simply by trying to live in denial. She promised herself that the morning escapade was the first and the last.
"You are so silent this morning, Joonah" so the original Joonah was not?
"Sorry, just had such a weird dream." she answered IN KOREAN. How can a person who had only managed to learn Hangul once and forget it completely and understand like two sentences in Korean, (everything is always gwenchana and we always say kahmsamnida) suddenly speak Korean. How will she know which forms of politeness to use? Or will the original "body" guide her? Why do they never talk about that in the movies???
"I hope the lady will be kind to us today. Last time she was in such a bad mood...." after a moment zoning out was just a must. Seriously, how was she supposed to be friends with anyone who TALKED SO MUCH??? she never talked that much unless it was about praising ACE. but the conclusion of the story was that the Prince was coming today. PRINCE.
Actually, the sole expression, that one word made Joonah chuckle.
"Why are you laughing?"
I dunno, how do you explain to a person that had never lived in the 21st century that being a Prince was something out of a Disney story unless you were William or Harry. It was just something so unrealistic, so fairy tale like.
"Nothing, just remembered that dream I had last night. " she winked.
"Oh you!!!" the girl whose name she had failed to learn till now when an older woman was yelling at them "Eunji, Joon you are late!"
So they were. The buckets of water they had to carry were the testimony to how angry they actually made everyone in the world where watches did not exist. Just exactly HOW late could they be that her back had to hurt that much?
"Uhg, damn, kill me now." she was lamenting.
"I would rather not do that" said a male voice behind her.
Now, she had never been a fan of those overly romantic, slow-mo moments in dramas but this was just EXCEPTIONAL. As she was turning her herself to face the man who was going to be the victim of hers just for breathing, she stopped herself from telling him to take those words somewhere else and give her a hand since he was such a gentleman. PARK JUNHEE.
"Excuse me" she said. not to apologize to him exactly but more like something the Gen Z would say every now and then.
"Your Royal Highness, your royal highness" everyone was running from one place or another, like little ants ready to prove how hard they have worked - look we have built a new nest or whatever.
Since she didn´t REALLY want to die she bowed her head in the same manner. (Brain found its way back)

SO HE WAS THE PRINCE?

If this dream or this time travelling meant something, it was that she would get a boyfriend and she would get HIM. oh no, she was not going to be one of those "I really didn´t want to fall in love" oh no nonono, she was definitely going to be "came and got it" kinda gals. You just wait.
And at the given moment, it didn´t seem like he would be opposed to it considering how long he maintained the eye contact with her bowed head.
"What´s your name?"
Someone poked her.
"Joon" she answered.
"Nice to meet you" he said and left.

This world should better get ready for a lot of changes were coming.

I don't know if you're still doing it; but.................... how about Nao?
The world battling with COVID stopped the tourists from coming to Japan. Oh no, it wasn´t actually COVID it was the government but why would that matter. The plan that he had had in his head for years had to stopped and as much as tried to fight the feelings of disappointment and negativity, it was impossible to feel anything but that. Times passed by browsing the Internet, watching youtube videos, working and the usual nothing that would so typically fill in the void. The money that were so needed for the journey were left on the bank account to grow which turned out to be a genius idea due to the inflation that was so scary that many were saying the world was going to end. The world was ending the past 30 years anyway and such news were too boring to listen to take seriously. Someone once promised that we would all die in 2012 and such a miracle did not happen, now everything like this sounded comical.
He was packing his bags, this time for real. It wasn´t a drill. His family asking "but do you really have to?" they meant well, they wanted him to stay, they wanted him to be around. That was sweet sure, but those words were annoying him. Why was everyone trying to guilt-trip him in staying? Was he a bad son for leaving? Was he a bad brother, cousin, person for living his dream? So all of these quotes that they put on the walls about how we all should chase our dream were empty lies? But he understood the sentiment "I will come back" he said calmly, trying to make his voice sound as soothing as possible. There seemed to be no one really happy about his departure.
"Mate, Japan ... it´s different" his childhood friend was laughing. "Why are you going now? Isn´t that too late?"
Too late? He asked to himself, stopping his own voice from saying that out loud. Who cared about his opinion. He wasn´t dying. He wasn´t on his wheelchair barely holding to his memories and he was determined that before he was that man, he was going to fulfil his dream and if there was no one to share it, be it.
He blasted the music loudly into his headphones, long ago he got used to not being able to do freely without getting a call from the neighbours. He rolled his eyes for the last time when his mother called to inquire about his wellbeing. Did you eat? Yes, mother.
Finally he was going to Japan. A three moth working visa in his hand. Originally he had no plans to work there, but it seemed like a good idea anyway so he signed up as an ESL teacher. His English was good and his Spanish even better, he could always make some money if needed and his frugal heart wouldn´t have to bleed.
The look on his face was full of determination. The man that had planned this adventure for most of his adult life was ready to go. It wasn´t hard to survive the uncomfortable journey. He was watching Netflix, one stupid show after another. They were all easy to digest. A man next to him looked over his shoulder. Netflix? Isn´t that what an American, he frowned and turned to his anime. What a sweetheart living up to a stereotype - hip, young, anime-loving. He had often wished to find someone who would share his passion and who would live in the area. Finding a metal head was hard but not impossible but finding a Jrock fan? That was a challenge he had not yet won.
Finding his hotel would have been a real ordeal if only the Japanese were less helpful and did not pride themselves on being nice and wanting to practice their English. It seemed like they really wanted to make their country look as perfect as it could. He knew better, he wasn´t a newbie, long ago he had accepted its mistakes and its beauties so he kept his cool. Tokyo didn´t shock him despite obviously being packed with people as he arrived at the rush hour. He had left the group of four friends take him to the hotel, almost following him, thanked them in the best Japanese he could manage and finally got into his room. THANKS GOD. It wasn´t that he was asocial, but he could definitely not say that he loved people that much to spend two hours of talking to someone and enthusiastically explain where the heck Puerto Rico is.

@Yachii I am sorry, I will continue this after I am back from walking my dog. posting so that it doesn´t get deleted ...
Nao is gonna come!!!

Yachii´s story part II

It was an exhausting day, jet leg and what´s not. It was still slightly unbelievable that he was here and perhaps if he was less tired and his head wasn´t spinning like that he would feel the excitement and nervousness, but he had never been the guy that would dwell on emotions too much. After all, this was just another country, right? People were people everywhere, despite their traditions and their language, still, no matter how rational he was, he fell asleep with a smile on his face.

The dream was coming true but not so easily. Now being hit with reality (the neighbourhood seemed to be more puzzling that he had imagined) he made himself lost in this world. Tokyo was smaller than it seemed on the pictures, Shibuya crossing slightly less overwhelming and Japanese just as sleepy as everyone else. See, different place, but same people. Human, ugh, they didn´t like each other in the morning. But he tried to put himself in a better mood. He knew he was meeting up his new boss who was American-Japanese making money on poor students who were studying till late at night at overprized academies. The guy seemed to be too upbeat in all his Skype calls and someone who you feel you have to smile for otherwise you would be asked "what´s wrong" till the moment you´ll want to small his head. Bracing oneself he entered the building of one of the most promising schools. It seemed clean .. at least and not as spacious as it seemed, everyone greeted everyone. It was a mess of cultures so he had no idea what to do, bow? some did. shake hands? some did too. "We are one big family here" said the overly happy guy. Oh, how he already hated him, but still "keep swimming, keep swimming" he remembered. But the overly familiar pat on his shoulder just seemed to be so misplaced in the culture where your boss was close to God.
"Are you a fan of music?" the man only a few years older than he, himself, asked.
"Yes." Let´s keep it short.
"You see, we are quite a popular school and we ...." okay time to dream on because listening to him just made him sick. "
"You might not know them but they are quite big here. Passcode, you know metal and all. .... " aaaaand since that moment he got his full attention.
"Oh yeah, so ..eh" he tried very hard to look chill and collected and was just hoping the man was so full of himself that he did not notice.
Apparently he didn´t.
"So are you in? She may be a little busy but as they are planning a tour in Australia. "
"Sure, I am in" he said hoping that he didn´t seem to be TOO excited.
"Oh, so her name is Miami Nao and she is in her mid twenties, I think though that is hard to say." And he continued to talk about everything that was not important like money. All he did was just thinking about how to start. Damn, what do you to not disappoint? What do you do to impress someone whose music you adore? He was no longer a teenager but he certainly did feel like one.
He was supposed to call her today. Could you imagine having a number of your favourite musician? Could he just do that?
He went to the 7up to buy some cheap beer. It was probably against the company´s rules but he drank that Chu-hi so fast he almost choked.
"I can do it," he was trying to persuade himself until the rational side of his brain finally pressed the green button and he was calling.
The woman answered her phone, already sounding upbeat and happy. He had not learnt Japanese properly yet and was too shy to try out what he had learnt in front of her. "Pardon, my name is _____ I am calling about the English lessons?"
The girl giggled and answered "yes". He could hear some other voices, perhaps her bandmates talking and laughing in Japanese.
"Yes, yes I want to learn English." she said with heavy accent.
"That´s why I am here." he already felt at ease. her shyness made him realise it was supposed to be him who was the mentor.
"Can we meet up at 7pm at..." he checked the nearest café. "Starbucks near Shibuya. Do you know where?"
"Starbucks, Shibuya" she repeated the words more for herself than him, trying to make sure she understood well.
"Yes? Seven" she agreed and thanked him several times.

He smiled, calmly. So this was the start of his new life and he was going to live it well, in the world that he loved so much, with music and culture that felt so distant yet so close. To the new beginning, he said to himself before he entered the school building once again. Perhaps this was the place he had been looking for, the place that had been waiting for him all his life. Miracles do happen.

I hope it is not too bad @Yachii ♥♥♥
