I feel the same as you. If people don´t tag me and other people are tagged, I feel like it is "a thread for friends" rather than for everyone and I would consider it impolite to post in it so I just don´t. I guess it is not always meant that way, but I just automatically understand it like that.

Yeah they can seem harmless but when its common for Kpop to be a means of escapism for people it can end up bringing feelings people want to get away from in real life to the forum and then the place they try to relax isn't so much of an escape anymore
