So many idol groups put out these past few years are really aiming strongly for visuals, and it's unfortunate when the skills suffer because of it (though that doesn't mean that all the pretty idols of today can't sing). Companies seem to have shifted to what sells, and what sells quickly - maybe not what sells for the long run.
Times change, my friend. Luckily there are still some rookies and newer gen idols that can still display great skills and talents in singing and dancing, despite a lot of them being marketed purely for aesthetics or physical features.
