I think I disagree on the tactless part. Thousands die every single day through tragic accidents just usually not all at once like a plane crash. If I was on that plane I would want the show to happen. The show happening is a celebration of life. They could make a memorial out of it. Simply canceling it seems careless towards those that died. I guess it depends on those putting on performances though. If they are hurting then it changes things.

How is cancelling this show careless towards the ones who died? Sorry, but this is so insensitive, I'm speechless.
Kids died on this plane. The youngest passenger was three years old. Parents lost their children and children lost their parents. Do you really think they care about a music show now?

sorry to those who prepared their performances but it seems the only appropriate thing to do. i mean, imagine the families of the victims seeing people being all happy and cheery days after such a tragedy happened. also, having an entertainment show in the middle of national mourning period would probably cause a lot of outrage directed at anyone involved so it's really not worth it.
