I think it also has to do with the fact that I don't actually plan on having a serious relationship with anyone who asks me out so when they do pay, it makes me feel guilty? Well I have never felt guilt but it's awkward lol

I mean, same... I don't date at all and I would only have a relationship with someone if I intended to marry them but I don't intend to marry anyone who asks me out so I end it before they think anything of it. I mean I'm straightforward so I'm sure I don't lead them on but I definitely don't want to owe anyone anything either. I don't know if my perspective on letting others pay for me will change with someone I intend to marry but my pride gets in the way of letting anyone else pay for me for now.

I always paid when I was dating.

I think it must be considered the salary of both, if one is in a more comfortable situation why make the poor one suffer when seeing the bills?

When you take a nice lady out on a date (or if you've never been on a date just imagine) and the check comes, do you let her pay for it? Split the check? Or cover the whole thing? Personally I've seen this new generation take to splitting the check because "something something FEMINISM something something EQUALITY something" or because they don't want the guy to think that just because he paid for the meal that means he's entitled to some lil desert after, if you catch my drift. However I've only seen this idea from the lady's perspective and hardly ever hearing anything from the man. So what do you all think?

Also if you say you don't really care I'm just gonna assume you'd like it better if you two split the check/let her pay for it.

Im bi but with anyone I go on dates with, I split the check. I do it so that they don't see me as a burden but also so that I know they are willing to reciprocate.

Yeah if I'm asking you out on a date, I'm intending to pay. There have been times when the girl suggests splitting the check or paying for the next date, in which case I say okay lol.
But since I asked her out in the first place, I felt obliged to pay for it.
