MidLight, 1st Full Album: 'au rythme des saisons' | The Rookie Project (1 Viewer)

[OnlyCalB]

MidLight makes a quick comeback with their 1st full album, 'au rythme des saisons' (Rhythm of the Seasons). The 10 song album features the trio's signature Rock and Dream Pop sound, complemented by each members' solo number showcasing their individual colour.

Much like their debut single 'Nature's Gift', which makes a return in their full album, title track 'Trinity' is sure to lure in keen Rock fans. 'Star Fragment' is the third Rock number before moving onto 'I Need You', a soft rock/dreamy vibe that transitions nicely into MidLight's three Dream Pop songs. 'The Four Seasons', a song in which the album's concept is made, is nicely followed by 'Asterism' and 'Halley'; both songs featured on MidLight's debut single album.

Keana's solo, a wonderful moody number 'Watashi ga suki', showcasing her singing talent is followed by Ava's lovely and charming number, 'Draiocht'. The album is finished beautifully by Esmée's stunning 'Eternal'.

'TRINITY' MV Story & Concept Collage

Spoiler

The 3 members are caught between within a dark reality of negative energy. Searching for a Pyramid said to bestow strength, courage and unity, the members look around an old manor for clues to it's existence. The grounds and the manor itself lead the members through the four seasons;

> beginning in Autumn when the grounds of the manor are decaying. The members are far apart from each other, searching alone. Each member is carrying the weight of negative energy, dark thoughts and various fears.

> Winter, a sharp cold grips the air and covers the grounds in snow, forcing the members inside and closer together. They are seen finding various items around the manor that reveal who they truly are and what they can overcome together.

> Spring, when the grounds begin to see it's beautiful landscape re-grow. The members continue their search outside but are not too far from each other. Each member is more confident in chasing after their destiny.

> Summer, when everything is bright and clear, the members find a secluded spot in the grounds; The Pyramid is in the middle.

One by one; Keana, Ava and Esmée touch the bricks of the structure and find reality restored. Together, they form the Trinity: MidLight.

MidLight is a group that hopes to inspire the world through music.
