Having been in the industry for a decade as part of the boy group ASTRO, MJ is opening a new chapter in his solo career in 2026.




On August 19, MJ released his first solo single album, ‘Right..?’. The album consists of two tracks: the title track “Ghosting” and the B-side track “ただいま (Tadaima).” In particular, MJ personally participated in writing the lyrics and composing the title track “Ghosting,” adding his own unique color to the song.




The album title ‘Right..?’ also reflects MJ’s inner thoughts conveyed through this album. Normally, ‘Right?’ is an expression of confidence used when seeking someone’s agreement or confirmation. However, MJ’s ‘Right..?’ adds an ellipsis, conveying a subtle sense of hesitation and uncertainty. While it may appear to be asking for the other person’s opinion, it actually expresses an internal question directed at himself: “I’m right, aren’t I..? What I’m saying is right, isn’t it..?” This is what makes the album title particularly meaningful.




Before releasing the project, MJ held his first solo fan meeting in Korea, titled ‘2026 MJ FANMEETING,’ on August 1. For MJ, it was a meaningful and memorable moment, not only for his fans who have waited this long, but also for himself: “Rather than feeling pressured during the preparation process, I think I was more excited about meeting the fans.”
