I was just trying to call my mom to tell her something funny, and she cut me off mid-sentence and asked me if she could call me back. Why? She and Dad were watching Jeopardy. Who tf picks a game show over family??? I love her, but she can be so annoying sometimes!

What about y'all, do you have any moments like that to share?

All parents get distracted. None are perfect and I hope she's just having one of those human moments where we don't make the right decision. So ask yourself these questions. Is this funny thing life changing? Is it really worth getting upset about? Is this really about the funny thing? Perhaps your actually feeling lonely, insecure, or left out Maybe you need some attention? It's absolutely ok to feel any or all of those things.

in her mind shes busy, and when someones "busy" they dont really pay attention to anyone else which is probably why she told you to call her later which is when she will be paying attention. everyones different. everyones has different mind sets. i mean if im watching a show and im really invested in it, if someone were to call me i probably wouldnt pay much attention to what theyre saying bc in my mind, im busy with my show. thats just me tho and i feel that your mom could agree with me. shes not being annoying, shes living her life in her mindset.
