More Celebrities Involved In New Set Of Chatrooms With Hundreds Of Hidden Camera Photos and Videos

SBS has revealed that a new set of chatrooms has been revealed, with more than 100 explicit photos and videos been shared in them. Participating in these chatrooms was the son of a former Samsung executive, actors “Shin” and “Han”, model “Jung”, and an ARENA club MD.

In 2016, a woman identified as “A” stumbled upon an external hard drive that belonged to her boyfriend Mr. Kim. After looking at the contents of the hard drive, she discovered that it contained sexually explicit photos and videos.

I tried to connect it to the computer and discovered that there were so many photos and videos in the Kakaotalk. I thought I should move it to a USB…

“A” only transferred a small amount of the photos and videos to her USB device, but she was still able to transfer over 100 of them. The photos and videos were not just of “A” but of other women too. Dozens of women were filmed, and they all seemed drunk and unaware of being filmed.

There were so many people filmed it seemed like a habit. The other women probably didn’t even know they were being filmed. They were all so drunk or unconscious they couldn’t keep their bodies steady.

“A” also says that Mr. Kim did not film alone. Mr. Kim and his friends would share these illegally filmed videos or photos in their 2 chatrooms.

If there was a girl lying naked in the bed, they would take a picture and send it.

“A” filed a complaint against Mr. Kim in July 2018, and have secured evidence after searching his residence, and have sent the case to prosecution. The other members of the chatrooms are also under investigation for their participation in distributing illegal videos.

As much as I want them to expose all these artists already, there's still more shady shit going on behind the scenes here. If only the higher ups involved would get exposed too

The sad truth? I'm not even shocked anymore when it's revealed.
I'm sure there might be some revealed that might shock me (if they are friends on the outskirts or through the grapevine from those already revealed), but currently it's just continuing to reveal that friend circle that is pretty large to begin with.

Agreed that I wish they'd release names of and expose the big players behind it all - but fact of the matter is, the interest for most people lays more in celeb names due to being widely known and more people feeling it's more scandalous given celeb status in Korea as generally trying to come off as pure, innocent, kind, respectable, and someone to look up to. Many probably already feel any corporation big wigs that might be behind this or wrapped up in this could easily already be corrupt, and most of the time, unless it's a big name corporation or (again) celebs are tied to said corporations or businesses, people aren't going to take much notice of the names or the story attached, unfortunately.

I'm just glad, as crappy as the entire situation is and the crimes committed (and even the technical "non-crimes" but disgusting behavior none the less) are being displayed for the world to see and the offenders exposed.

That was always the rumoured reason as to why these cases hadn't been investigated sooner. When the Burning Sun scandal originally broke out, I can remember seeing a knet's comment somewhere about how part of the reason why police don't investigate the crimes taking place at the clubs in Gangnam is because a lot of the people committing the crimes are the spoilt, entitled children of the rich and powerful.
