My AC broke x.x How's your summer going? (1 Viewer)

The worse part o.o IT CHOSE TO BREAK RIGHT BEFORE THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE WEEK


Yesterday it started leaking and within 2 hours it filled up one of those tall soup containers. Technically it works but I risk potential electrocution with how much water is coming down near an outlet.
or it could leak into my downstairs neighbor's apartment if I don't catch all the water.

I had a haphazard setup to try to catch where all the droplets land but it had a mind of its own.
I hate summer with a passion It feels like an oven. And this city is a humid hotbox in general.

Where are you autumn? ​

I know the feeling, Scandinavia doesn't really do AC at all and in addition our homes are built to retain heat because of how cold the winters get so summers are like sitting in a sauna even if it isn't insanely hot outside. Thankfully summer isn't very long here, I'm definitely a winter person.

9 out of 10 days it's raining which is a double-edged sword, on one hand it keeps the temperature down most days but on the other it's constantly humid!

Buy at least one portable AC as a backup. And I mean an AC, not one of those pretty ineffective pedestal fans.

I have one (because this is a happens a lot in the summer and winter) but my uncle is using it because his whole system isnt working.
x.x But now I know that I need a backup for my backup.

We get a fairly even split of 3 months per season but it snows through much of Autumn/Winter/Spring while Summer is mostly rain which makes it a bit cold, so it's actually more like 2-3 weeks worth of warm days spread across. Today is a rainy summer day and its only 10'C.

Personally I love the cold and rain so i'll politely decline your offer to trade but if you really hate the sun I definitely recommend visiting!

We get a fairly even split of 3 months per season but it snows through much of Autumn/Winter/Spring while Summer is mostly rain which makes it a bit cold, so it's actually more like 2-3 weeks worth of warm days spread across. Today is a rainy summer day and its only 10'C.

Personally I love the cold and rain so i'll politely decline your offer to trade but if you really hate the sun I definitely recommend visiting!

Right now, it’s 48%. I think it’s good? I don’t know that much about humidity level.

I havent yet suffered because it hasnt been over 25 but once it goes over i will have my full faith on my fan
in finland the houses are designed to trap the warmth inside and i dont remember anyone i know having cooling ac

40% is decent but it can be unbearable depending on the temp and conditions.

Humid makes the air feel moist and heavy. Your sweat doest evaporate as fast so it can become unbearable. 30c in dry heat feels less intense than 30c in humid heat.

It’s 22 Celsius, after rain, but doesn’t feel cold.
Really fresh air, no sweat days.
Usually, during that time of summer, it’s more like 32-34 Celsius and dry hot air. That’s exactly what they predict for the weekend. 🥵
