But I woke up at 4:00 a.m., so I was mentally prepping myself to power through, and now I don't have to.

I'm trying not to celebrate social things getting canceled, but for real today, YAY.

This actually also reminds me of a literary plot device I recently learned about, funny enough. Deus ex machina. For those who don’t know it means for a seemingly doomed and unresolvable situation to be suddenly solved with an unexpected/unlikely intervention, such as divine intervention.

It's funny, because that's usually a garbage thing to come across in a book, but actually works out great for me!!

Yes, finally!! I got the last thing taken care of December 12 and all the insurance/contractors squared away, so a full five months after the incident. 0/10, do not recommend letting a tree fall on your residence.

I'm back home now, and so glad I went! I was in kind of a slump with reading late last year, so it was nice to have that high spirits again.

I think, this year, I want to focus on deepening my current connections and not spend as much time making a ton of new ones.
