I just got on the phone with my dad and realized something. I got my answer without even really asking the question i had to ask
He was telling me about how he just discovered XG (a 7 piece group) and he was talking about Jurina's recent collab with Rhapsody. I asked him if he's heard of any news about XG in the last few hours, that being Cocona's coming out as transmasculine nonbinary. I tried to be vague at first because im aware he's a devout Muslim and said "im not sure what you'd think as I know youre a man with certain agendas". He almost immediately cracked the code that I was talking about a member coming out (or as he puts it "switching genders") while not even actually knowing the group yet. He didnt get upset per se but he started "calmly and sensibly" explaining why the lgbtq isn't natural. He even started dismantling (denying) the theory of evolution to back himself up. Did I know i was walking straight into this conversation for the most part? Yes. Am I still disappointed knowing he'll never truly love my real self because im trans and gay? Yes. But if I can even get a couple emotional affection points from him even when it's because I'm living a lie who says I really have a choice?

What does he mean when he says 'natural'? The animal world?

In a strictly evolutionary sense he's right. Only a male and a female can produce offspring. That's why nature 'invented' straight sexual activity. But there is homosexuality in nature, so it is natural in a broader sense.

By the way, in a strictly evolutionary sense religion (and I mean any religion) isn't natural too. There is no proof that animals have such belief systems.
