My day at work today (1 Viewer)

Was awful, I was the babysitter today. It was only me and my manager tonight because two of our full-timers are on vacation, and this manager goes on vacation starting Monday as well, so he spent about 4 hours cleaning up the bays and I spent those 4 hours stuck at the desk and I would get like 3-6 people in line I'd be stuck helping. It was so exhausting but, since I work to feel numb, I guess it helped even out my feelings because all I could feel was pressure.

My colleagues also have this problem where, when they pick an order, they will miss an item or mislabel what bay they've put it in, and then there's wild goose chase to try and find the item either from the shelf or the bays. And thennnn, we had a guy come in to pick up his special order and neither me, nor my manager, nor another manager, nor our store manager could find it. So, we got to tell him "sorry, we can reorder it, we can call you if it turns up."

My arms fucking hurt. My emotions were very high when I got to work, so I was pissed off and also had been ugly crying right before going into work, so I was lifting things I should not have been. I was moving shit that weighs like 110 lbs to and from, on and off carts, restacking pallets, etc. At one point I almost tripped and almost got crushed by something I was loading into a customer's trailer had a customer not caught it (and me) in time. So, yeah, it's going to be a long weekend.​
