My hatred for windows and microsoft is immeasurable (1 Viewer)

This semester in a project... we **HAD** to use Visual studio and we **HAD** to use visual basic (I know, what year is this!!!)
I'm going to be honest I learned just about one thing this semester...

AND THAT IS THAT WINDOWS IS THE WORST THING TO EVER HAVE BEEN INVENTED AND IF I NEVER HAVE TO INTERACT WITH IT EVER AGAIN I WOULD DIE HAPPY.
WIndows is so awful oh my actual god.
It's buggy, it does random shit all the damn time that BREAKS THINGS!!! ( I am dual booting windows bcs of this project)
Visual Studio was sent from hell to make me kill myself.

And Visual basic makes me want to rip my hair out. It was awful when it was current, these days it's about 10+ years outdated.

Thank fuck it's over with now.
I can live peacefully in my Linux paradise

My most recent Reddit rant...

I've tried, SUSE, MINT, POP-OS, ARCH and a few others I don't remember at this point. The most successful I've had is EndeavorOS. I'm not trying to do anything fancy. I only browse the internet, YouTube and write. I'm not even trying to game. I have a MSI GE75 Raider laptop. The biggest issue I have is the ONLY install I managed to get sound on is EndeavorOS then I lost wifi during and update. I did a reinstall to get wifi back and then couldn't get sound working again following the EXACT same steps I used to get it working the first time. It's honestly been 20ish years since I used Linux but this time around I've had an insane amount of trouble and I've installed it on some really weird set ups too. I once ran gentoo and LSF. Has linux gotten worse?!

tbh I would say it has gotten worse, but I am also quite a new linux user lmao.
I haven't had any trouble with my linux installations so I don't really have any advice either :/

BETTER IDE's to pick from...

it's locked to microsoft exclusive (Which is bad, bcs it helps hold microsofts functional monopoly as far as computer OS's go)
A lot of their extensions have security flaws (just last year one was discovered that gave access to your passwords)
The program is also really REALLY heavy
Not to mention it's buggy af and fixing it requires using Microsofts dogshit services.

And did I mention it's owned by Microsoft?

You don't even understand, whenever I clicked on one specific file THE ENTIRETY OF VISUAL STUDIO CRASHED...
And get this... WITHOUT AN ERROR MESSAGE!!!!
The program just... stopped.

I eventually figured out that what was causing the crashing was actually not even THAT code file, but ANOTHER code file (that did NOT cause crashes btw when clicked on) that was refrenced in the crash inducing code that was causing the crash.

and all throughout this... get this...
The program was compiling....
...

It took me SO LONG to figure out wtf was going on.
