He screams at us for small things and when I told him I didn't want to present in front of the class because of social anxiety he yelled at me

he is new and he is probably afraid that if he goes soft, he won´t gain your respect. new teachers often go over board because they fear to lose control over class. it´s gonna get better, don´t worry about it! just try to kind of ignore him.
people that need to make others afraid, are often actually even more afraid that the people they are scaring.

I'm not sure about that, he was fine on the first two days but then changed.

Some teachers can't help put bring their own issues on students : / Hopefully you can just ignore him most of time and just get through without much problems.
