THEY ARE BITCHING ABOUT THE MASKS IN FRONT OF ME AND EVERY OTHER DAY. MY DAD WAS TRYING TO FIND A LOOPHOLE THE OTHER DAY SO I COULD FIND A REASON NOT TO WEAR ONE...bitch my BF has family members that are immunocompromised and my soon to be brother-in-law needs to be hospitalized the second he gets a feeling he may have corona...

I genuinely don't understand why the idea of wearing a mask bothers people SO MUCH! Like, even if it doesn't help that much, wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? I blame the politicians that have turned this into a Left vs Right issue, when it's simply a matter of health and safety!

Nobody uses masks here anymore- apart from hospitals- cause goverment said there is no scientific prove they are helping and one even said people should be happy masks aren't banned. Though the bright side is that corona numbers are really low now anyways so there probably isn't lot of harm not wearing one. If only they were easier to buy though and more people used to them, I'd use them at least during bus rides.

I'd rather be safe. I mean I have a baby nephew. My grandma is clinging to life and my boyfriend could lose loved ones if he or I am not careful. So it's aggravating having my parents be so blase about it. I mean ffs their soon to be son-in-law has a condition too, and he's STAYING with us right now and this is the mindset they have...it's fucking ridiculous.

here in australia (western australia at least) it's like this as well, you get either extremely dirty looks or some kind of stare when you wear a mask to the CBD and 90% of people don't, looking around at the CBD you wouldn't be able to tell that there's a pandemic going on lol. mostly the extremely dirty looks are if you're east/southeast asian like me (just more of the xenophobia and racism towards asians bc of coronavirus, nothing unexpected), racists really do part like the seas when they see me wearing my mask, which, i'm not complaining lol. it's just sad since the government called masks "useless" and basically condemned them, even though, every little help is good and it's better to be safe than sorry, and also bc masks are very common to wear in east/southeast asian cultures, pandemic or not. our state might be doing okay right now but another aus state just got 288 new cases in a day and a second wave is inevitable so the number of people refusing to wear masks (just to be on the safe side) annoys me. is it really so hard to not be selfish and consider other people's health as well lol

I think masks are good as something extra everyone can do if they are in space with lot of people, buses are definitely good places to wear those. But i just hope they would be bit more affordable and easier get here. Since nobody is wearing them and goverment is not encouraging it at all not lot of shops sell them and they are quite expensive to get.

Though here I think the situation will die down regardless unless lot of new cases pop up due to borders being more opened. Especially Sweden is a concern, some of the new cases are from there. And some have come from migrant workers.
