It is his Korean name, yes. He's one of the happiest members in the group and the Korean word for happiness is apparently similar to his Korean name, so I assume that's where the name came from. A few years ago, he HATED being called Yongbok and only let people very close to him and his group members call him that. Recently though, he doesn't seem to mind it nearly as much (or if he does, he doesn't show it as obviously). Most people assume it grew on him over titime.Since then, he's now said that he's fine if fans call him that too. Nowadays his response to the name ranges from (seemingly) indifference to perfectly fine with it, sometimes even referring to himself as Yongbok or a related nickname.
