it's okay, it's just a important subject to me because i was a really big fan of lucas before this all broke out and i tried really hard to believe that he would never do it, only to be disappointed when everything started coming out

the people that accused him were indeed fans, there is a megathread on reddit that kept track of all of the accusations

I would like to point out this is still entirely hearsay and also not illegal. Morally dubious, entirely so, but many people in this thread are treating him like a criminal based on uncorroborated anonymous stories. As if that hasn't ended badly before.

If he was innocent, he wouldn't be away nearly for 2 years and SM could've clearly state that the accusations were false and they could've take legal actions against the accusers. Both non of them happened and it says more than 1000 words. Companies often think if they put idols on hiatus for a longer time, people will forget everything and they can pretend like nothing happened. And sadly or not, but they are right about it.
SM with not saying anything about this case for such a long time made it clear that something really happened.

I have to disagree with that. not sure if u remember onews scandal, but it took over 1 year for the police to make a final statement (and end investigations) on the matter and 'free' him of all accusation. fans didnt hear anything of him for the whole time. sm told him to stay home and out of trouble in that time. and china is slower than korea too, so it doesnt really surprise me that he was gone for so long. anyways, we still dont know if there was an investigation in china or what really happend, so you should not come to any conclusions about him being silent.

Tbqh, I believe a celeb's private life is their own to a degree. If they're a shit partner, they're a shit partner. Afaik he wasn't accused of a crime, just not being someone anyone should date. I also don't necessarily trust much brought against idols anymore after the last few years where so many were targeted by lies, but that's just my personal opinion. If SM & fans are willing to give him a second chance, then that's their decision. Personally I thought his whole situation was incredibly overblown. He will be under a microscope from now on, and I'm sure he's acutely aware of this.

This is a very slippery slope and how I know you must be very young. You don't know that he has no morals or respect, we only have biased versions of things on both sides. You can't just ruin someone's future over what they *might* do. He didn't break any laws, to go so far as to say he might commit SA based on anonymous accusations is an overreach and a really screwed up thought process. Not to mention bordering on defamation.

Perhaps it was somewhat of a stretch to jump to the extreme but I was just thinking out loud of the possibilities if Lucas did cheat and gaslight and how that could affect his behaviour towards women in general.

Thinking that the accusations are true or not are is based off of the same ground of evidence. Maybe Lucas is shit person and will continue doing even worse things, maybe this situation will make him cop on and he won’t do anything of the sort again. Edit: and maybe he’s done absolutely nothing and everything is lies. How can we be sure? Coming back would be of no good to him either bc of how disliked he is. I’m not sure about Korea but majority of i fans hate him. If he ends up being cleared of it all then I’ll feel bad for him that his reputation has been completely ruined though there’s nothing I can do about it; if it’s true I hope all the scrutiny he’s gotten has woken him up to change his morals ASAP

I didn't say Lucas was silent, I was talking about SM, which isn't the same. In fact, Lucas was one of my NCT biases, so I tried not to jump into any conclusions, but as you also pointed out, nothing was proven, which can lead to people assume things.
I think everybody have the right to think whatever they want in this case, exactly because nothing is proven.
On the other hand, I wish fans wouldn't know anything about idols' private life, because it's not our business in the first place.

It’s worth noting this specific CEO will be replaced in March. When news he was being replaced came out in the Korean press, SM’s stocks shot up in value. At the time, he wiped all SM content from his socials. So the fact that this lame duck chairman popped up with a person who is persona not grata in the company to the point they erase him from physical images (when SM is notoriously lazy af) has to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. Also layer in that SM has been aggressively promoting the new era of WayV and WayV as six complete with magazine interviews and covers and I don’t think any of this is actually what is happening in the corporate plan.

With that HUGE grain of salt in place, it’s also worth noting that Weibo is in an uproar today over the news. There is not a path forward for him in China and not really Korea either. It’s only international fans that are supportive, so if SM does want to continue to utilize him, I highly highly doubt they want any risk to NCT, which is the majority of their sales (over 53%). There hasn’t been a major boycott since Superhuman and they work very hard to avoid them by placating kczennies across all units and Chinese Wayzennis for WayV.

They’d have to spin him out as a soloist, which they could have already done and haven’t, so I don’t think they’re choosing to tbh.

It is also possible that knowing he’s getting fired the CEO is trying to lay a plan for his next job. Lucas does have a loyal solo fandom so maybe he’s hoping to bring those people and Lucas to his new job.

it is the same. sm was silent when onews scandal happend too, its a method to protect an idol. and I support that method.
not that they had a choice. if an investigation is still ongoing, you are not allowed to make unnecessary statements.
like I said before, we dont know if the chinese police is investigating. there is a possibility its all a scam to hurt lucas, just like what happened to chanyeol. who knows. until there is no statement, we should wait without misunderstanding sm's behavior.

Did they specifically Photoshop Onew out of things? Because that's the point that really sticks with me. Chanyeol had a cheating gf scandal (which was quietly investigated and then it took almost a year before they sued) and Chen had his wife's pregnancy, and while they were minimized in content for awhile, they were never explicitly Photoshopped out of a group shot, as Lucas was. That's what convinced me he was out of WayV because SM is lazy af and could have easily just cropped him out but that was a very specific and deliberate choice.

What he did was morally questionable to say the least if the allegations are true, but not illegal. He did all of those actions at quite a young age so to write him off as irredeemable is a bit silly imo. He's not a 45 year old acting like that, and even if he was that is his business not mine.

there were no pics. onew was drunk in a club and inappropriately touched a womans leg (that danced on the table next to them) he thought it was a pole and wanted to hold himself while falling from drunkenness. her boyfriend called the police saying it was sexual harressment. it was pretty huge, but i-fans were more disappointed by him drinking that much. the police investigated over 1 year. sm made 1 statement when it happend and thats it. we ddint hear anything for over 1 year, until an official police statment came and freed him of all charges.

u can imaging what happened. ppl talked shit about him, even calling him a rapist.

anyways, shinee was on haitus the whole time. the saddest thing was, this happened in 2016/beginning of 2017. when jonghyun died, he still wasnt cleared of all charges. so it was a hard time for him. he was cleared later in 2018.
