I am glad he got disqualified. What it comes for harassing israels deligation and singer I dont agree with israel being there but it is so uncalled for for him to attack them.

According to the Eurovision's statement he did not attack anyone physically; he had a verbal altercation with a staff member of the Eurovision, not the Israeli delegation. The Israeli delegation meanwhile has videotaped themselves harassing other delegations including the Dutch, and has made veiled threats against the Irish contestant and mocked them in their broadcast as well. Rules should be applied to all contestants equally and the Eurovision has a responsibility to ensure a safe event for everyone, which they've failed to do

From what i can parse, there were a lot of rumours beforehand. The statement from Eurovision is very vague. I think realistically, all we can say is that we don't know what has happened exactly.

i may have not put it like i meant it to be put. By harassing israeli singer i meant the two situations where he kept yawning when she talked and instigated her in press confrence. and i thought i said that it was a production crew member and not part of any deligation.

You did say they attacked the Israeli singer, which seems extreme for yawning and instigating. But even if you did mean those things others in here seem to be saying the Dutch singer harassed the Israeli singer when this incident is specified to not be related to other singers. He may have harassed them before but that’s not the reasoning for this it seems.

covering himself with the dutch flag when she talks and asking why she doesnt have to answer a question regarding the safety risks israel's participation brings is not harassment, to be fair. he clearly has disdain for the israeli delegation, and they have disdain for him too, but there is no proof he has harassed eden golan or her team. as for his verbal fight with tv production staff, we don't know exactly what was said or why, all we know is that as of now there is no criminal suspicion.

joost has been very vocal about his issues with the ebu this year, more so than any other contestant, so i would like to know exactly happened before i form an opinion because i can imagine the ebu eager to drop him regardless of the severity of the incident
