I have to be honest and say this is a bad look on them. I understand they are young but the backlash of that is ruining the career that they had with the demands

I feel like they’re shooting themselves in the foot with this

same actually, like if the 25th happens and nothing changes what then
clearing the air I'll begrudge them that given how everyone else has been talking and mediaplaying but I don't see how effective their demands can be if the only thing they have going is popular support
if hybe doesn't care about it what then
that ex yg director can send as many instagram stories as he'd like, bada can offer as many words of support on tv as she'd like, people working in the brands they're repping can send cute little messages on social media but none of them frankly have the power to change the internal situation, much less stick around to it

The only thing I agree with the members is that their artistry is threatened. Without MHJ Newjeans isn't going to be the Newjeans we know. But that doesn't take away from the fact that MHJ is a terrible person and that the girls are still under contract. Idk what's going to happen, this is a fucked up situation. Props to the girls for speaking up, though I think it's a terrible choice we need more idols to talk personally. I hate every party here.

if one cannot turn a profit the group will disband - music shows, MVs, clothing, makeup, staff all cost money

hybe is actually in a better position because they can take some losses - like if in the next two cb NJ flops and sell like shit they can bear those losses and not need to disband or fall into bankruptcy

whether NJ members themselves are right or they are being groomed or they are under some sort of stockholme syndrome or they are actively being mistreated is beyond my understanding

I just don't understand when they could've made just lessened the budget for Gfriend? Like you look at their earlier stuff and it's way more financially modest. And even if they weren't profitable for the ONE year they were in Hybe, their discography to many k-pop fans (including me) was revived, especially with Mago/Walpurgis Night. They could've lasted with their 'renaissance,' but Hybe didn't give them a chance for another year. As an older group Gfriend didn't have to be super active too, just one comeback a year by now could've easily sufficed. It's a horrible decision on Hybe's part. As you said, Hybe can take some losses, why couldn't they do it with Gfriend OR Nu'est?

This reminds me so much of the Fifty Fifty situation, I just hope MHJ cares one bit for the members who fight for her... but based on some of the things that got revealed, I honestly doubt it The Fifty Fiftfy girls also got tricked by An Sung Il like that and now all their lifes are ruined and they find themself in court instead of the stage.. I would hate to see NewJeans go down that path too, but I can't imagine Hybe will play nice now after they did this livestream

I just feel like employee employer relationships shouldnt mix beyond friends. And this eerily feels like it has. Like MHJ is their parent or smth...

hybe wants nothing to do with mhj and mhj wants nothing to do with hybe, hybe barely tolerates them anyways and if what hanni said about the isolation is true then that sort of thing really messes with the head
with how things ended between mhj and source back when they tried being civil publically I don’t see why hybe would bother investing in nwjns
like @Selfmate said, may as well make a big splash and get as much support they can from the industry and the public while they can

they made a business decision and it is what it is

mixed, I'd rather stand with the girls than either mhj or hybe
in the end, they had nothing to do with the initial mess (mhj's internal complaint that illit creative team was copying her work and hybe launching that public audit out of the blue), same with all the other groups
that lsfm/illit and nwjns became embroiled into the ego contest between mhj and bsh again was nothing personal, for all mhj's complaints about sakura's addition it's not her fault bsh wanted to poach her, and it's not nwjns' fault that mhj's concept that bsh thought would flop did well
for all I know, their biggest protector even if for selfish reasons is gone, they had their trainee videos leaked so who knows what else might in the future, and the hr manager who initially handled the sa case is their new boss
the greeting ignoring was never denied and the internal employee message board at least shows a sizeable portion of the company being openly hostile to the girls specifically, not ador employees, not mhj, just the girls
maybe staying out of the fray would've been the smarter move, but I'm not expecting them to be acting fully professionally when everything about them so far has been anything but
like the leaked videos? the swearing at the girls? the random sakura drags? the hr manager gone rogue? if anything they've been acting the most like the adults while all the actual adults had their maturity go offline while duking it out in the boxing ring
mhj is weird, hybe has a bunch of weirdos (remember that creative director with the bondage pics plastered over his walls on instagram? yeah), not the greatest fan of all the allegations slung around by either side I just want the best for the girls
illit and lsfm too, I think it's vile how all the girl groups have been pushed out as shields by their respective camps and I wish people would just see them all as victims instead of some good vs evil situation that stantwt has turned it into
in general I'm not a narrative of "so and so is overreacting/being a drama queen" because I think it's hypocritical to want more active and vocal idols while ignoring groups that are literally doing just that, victims shouldn't have to be perfect to be at least heard
yunjin had a good message, I just hope that fans start applying it to everyone and not just their favs
