But basically, NiziU is hot stuff rn, Japan loves them and I mean really LOVES them, and they're doing brilliant. JYP's new cash cow and I can see them going strong for years to come.

With their latest single Take a Picture/Poppin' Shakin', they sold 317K copies in the first week on Oricon, surpassing their previous record of 312K copies in first week for debut single Step and a Step.

They're the 6th group ever to achieve this and only 2nd girlgroup after Hinatazaka46.

I only know they were part of Keyakizaka46 lol, NiziU is unique among Jpop girl groups in the sense that they also have a large female fan following, mostly school girls, while other Japanese girlgroup fandoms are mostly male dominated.
And the survival show apparently made JYP very popular among Japanese housewives They call him Park-san
