I was thinking more of about the generic versions of the drugs that contain paracetamol

I never get generic. I never find them as good as the brand ones..

So you have the equivalent of what’s in the OP then

yeah the most common one is panadol but I never get that since it's like 10x as expensive as the generic version
I mean I've had panadol before but one day like 10/20 years ago the pharmacist asked if I wanted a generic version and I was like what???

I don't remember exactly the name of the generic version but I do know the cost and it was like $2 AUD for like 100 pills of 500mg paracetamol lol
I do remember checking it out very closely and comparing it to panadol and then realised there was no difference

I take medications a lot.
so anything that is generic I can take as well, just I do not seem to like it as much

well it depends

if I do not have them I get terrible withdrawls
and I mainly like them for their conditioning effect.
I used to take 12 pills a day and now its cut back to 5.

we are still taking about prescription (or over the counter) drugs right? lol
I mean that's good if your doctor says you can take less...

Yeah it’s basically the same for us, brand name ones are marked up a lot for any med. Unless they only have the brand name for that medication, then they’re just expensive. Like for me, some meds can cost $50 USD here even after covered by insurance. If it’s a prescription med not covered by insurance then chances are you probably just need to pass on them unless you’re rich or desperate. Sorry I’m getting off topic, I just don’t like how expensive healthcare is here.

No you need a script and the doctors approval for these drugs. (so yes)
the drug I take now does weight gain, hair loss and the tingles in my hands.

hmm...well yeah a long of prescriptions drugs have weird side effects so I can only imagine having like 12 of them...
I do hope that you either get over whatever is causing to take them or at least continuing being on the drugs helps you maintain some sort of normalcy

Luckily no, I only took the strong pain one once the 2nd and once the 3rd day (it’s an as needed one, not a constant one), and Tylenol consistently from day 1 until a week had passed approximately. So yeah, I haven’t taken pain killers for my knee in almost a month.

Yep, I use crutches but tbh I put so little weight in them, they’re basically decoration. I probably could walk without them but I’m not going to until I get the okay from either the pt guy or the surgeon. At first it was scary too but now it’s not
