And fans were complaining about Korean comebacks
Which was not logical to me
Because in december 2017 they released a winter album
In January 2018 they released a Japanese album
CBX released a Korean album then released a Japanese album
EXO finished their tour on May
And CBX had their Japanese tour during May and June.. Then the Korean comeback on October and November
Then the solo releases this year and CBX Japanese concert encore
And we have news about a group comeback

EXO was never gone and it was never a " bit iffy"

I think they will at least do reunion comeback one day.

Like I'm hopeful that they'll return after service but I also know their contracts end before everyone is finished.

Even if some members don't renew with SM I still think there's hope for something like SNSD or SES

I don't see why not, Shinee had a break for a bit where they primarily did solo stuff but they ended up coming back as a full group.SM groups in general sty together while also being independent

EXO’s age gaps aren’t too big though between them, and with the time gone decreasing from 21 to eventually 18 months it’s worked out pretty well for them.
They can always sub-unit/solo their way through it.

I don't see exol going anywhere, anytime soon.

i don't think they're going to go anywhere. they're always going to be strong when it comes to fandom power, but i dont think that gp is going to hold on to them, i could be wrong though.
