thanks to @Nina thread about Hoshi and Woozi enlisting, I was looking at the member order for Seventeen and considered who has already enlisted (bc it always goes in birth order, right?). S.Coups and Jeonghan enlisted first... and then they literally skipped over Joshua (well, and Jun, but I alr know that's cuz he's Chinese) straight to Hoshi! I hope nobody ever tells the Korean government that Shua is fully Korean, he just grew up in the States. lol

Sometimes it doesn’t go in age order. Also it doesn’t matter how Korean or not Korean you are in terms of ancestry. All that matters is if you’re a citizen of South Korea. If you are a male citizen you need to serve, if you aren’t a male citizen then you don’t. According to google he was born in the US, so he may not be a Korean citizen (idk if he was eligible for one or not, but if he picked his American citizenship then he wouldn’t be a South Korean citizen)
