At least not on land Im about to share a very not fun fact.

Did you know that ticks can be found on every continent, including Antarctica? In Antarctica, they can be found mostly on penguin species. They aren’t native, but they hitch a ride when penguins migrate. Luckily the ocean is safe. Mostly. Because sea snakes and birds and such can get ticks. And ticks can survive a surprising amount of time underwater. But they can’t survive in the ocean without a host. That’s something, right?

Fun story: I got rocky mountain spotted fever from a deer tick. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital and nearly died. 0/10 would not recommend.
