Reality Official Produce_X101 Thread (The Finale Is Subbed NOW!!!) (7 Viewers)

Produce_X101 is the fourth season in the HUGELY popular 'Produce' franchise by Korean television network, Mnet. It is set to air on May 3rd 2019 and aims to form a male idol group that will actively promote for 5 years!

This season of the show will include an increase in the number of individual trainees (trainees without agencies) and will see the introduction of a new evaluation rank called, "Class X" which will be a rank BELOW Rank F which was the lowest possible ranking on all three previous seasons. The applications for this season were also open to contestants from all over the world which probably means we'll be seeing a lot more international contestants participating this year than in previous seasons.

This season will be hosted by Lee Dongwook with Lee Seokhoon and Shin Yoomi serving as vocal coaches as well as Cheetah and Kwon Jaeseung returning as coaches of rap and dance, respectively.

I'm so frustrated. I think MNET/ CJ E&M is shooting themselves in the foot with this delay. Why? Because everything is spoiled to the point that once first episode airs we can guess everything that'll happen afterwards and it won't be interesting anymore. There are pictures from Love Shot team on Twitter, mainly of UP10TION's Wooseok. I even saw a spoiler for who got most votes for first team evaluation and if you guys knew, you'd be quite disappointed/surprised. It's almost impossible to avoid these spoilers if you follow right accounts.

With S2, there was less than a month between Pick Me video being uploaded and first episode airing, now it's almost 2 months. I don't want to be negative but it'll kill some of the hype because I don't see as many posts as I did back then, both Pannchoa and Pannatic, even NB were full of PD101 posts and now there's one here and there. Obviously, I don't see this group being as big as W1 or even bigger judging just by current interest and reaction to it but trainees on it deserve so much better and I honestly wish MNET had aired it earlier but probably because of IZ*ONE they didn't. I will watch it of course but I'm tad bit worried. :(

But I actually do agree they should have started airing the episodes already OR they should have done the group evaluations LATER, last week of April would have been better. But they probably kept April for IZ*ONE because well you gotta milk your other cow first before you move on to the other :oof_tea:.

OOOOOH I didn't know THAT OR maybe they wanted to avoid the comebacks in April? Like, we have BP, BTS, Twice, Nu'est, IZ*ONE (don't know if I forgot any). I have no idea who are gonna come back in May so maybe thats why they pushed back the air date?

Anyways time flies, we will have the first episode in 2 weeks

Fun fact: Last season of Wanna One Go on MNET got cancelled because all the staff working on it were made to work for IZ*ONE's reality show, instead. Despite them being managed by two different companies. I am still bitter about it.

Glad that they're going with the same trainer roster as earlier! They seem like a good bunch.

Although I am still a bit sad that we got to enjoy Hongki and Soyou as vocal trainees for only one season, there was something about the way they went with teaching... they were so gentle and nice and seemed to be really close with the trainees during the lessons, it was so good. T__T
