Assuming you guys know, my mind can’t comprehend to why he was getting hate when he said there was no proof. I agree with him as there was no evidence when he went live and people can’t jump to conclusions that quickly based on a Twitter post. I don’t agree Woojin is innocent but the way people jumped on the train based on a allegation at first put me off..

Oil London went live a while ago and defended Woojin saying people shouldn’t jump to conclusions on a twitter post. He got a lot of backlash from it.

The situation isn’t black and white. I’m not defending Woojin at all but if this happens again turns out the person is lying, a person’s career has just been ruined because of assumptions and misreading interactions..

Considering who I ult, I am well aware of how lying can ruin careers. However, Woojin isn't an idol anymore, he's a regular citizen. He has no career to ruin.

But they can have a life that can be ruined. Because somebody isn’t in the spotlight anymore doesn’t mean that they aren’t working to make money a different way. This affects their private life too.

On a side note: I’m glad things are starting to come to light this year as we can know that the people we were originally supporting aren’t always as we think they are

The thing is, there's a lot that points to something serious happening behind the scenes with Woojin. Companies don't just allow idols to leave for "personal reasons" right before a comeback and go through the trouble of delaying the album to re-record vocals. We've seen companies fight tooth and nail to keep idols under contract, and there was nothing leading up to his departure that gave any indication something was wrong. If he was truly innocent, would he really continue posting on social media? The smart thing to do would be to stay quiet, aside from say you're hiring a lawyer to defend yourself. Instead he made a statement, a fake company, and basically put himself in a far worse situation by behaving suspiciously as well as being dismissive of the severity of the accusations against him.

While I don't agree with people declaring him guilty or attacking him outright, there is no way to confirm or deny the veracity of the stories told. If he is a predator, people need to be informed.

Again, I am well aware of that, believe me. It has happened, less than a year ago. The problem with Oli London that puts him in the firing line is the fact that he's not saying this necessarily because he believes it, but because it is controversial and gets him attention. Remember, this is a man who believes he is also a kpop artist, a man who has been in the news for insane kpop related publicity stunts. This is performative.

Not only that, but he could have done this with a different idol over a different scandal, there have been many ridiculous ones but he only chose to speak out in defense of someone accused of a sex crime. Sexual harassment and assault is far less likely to be lied about than most other crimes specifically because it is so hard to get people to believe victims, and that includes police. Just look at how bad the issues around prosecuting sex crimes are in Korea and you'll understand why someone would go to the internet instead of the police for justice.
