latin america here either hates usa because of their racism and xenophobia or loves usa...... because of their racism and xenophobia. latinos ARE against most americans because most of the americans on the internet and on "X" are pretty xenophobic towards us.

also most americans on the internet who try to say their opinion on latam are invalidated because they live in different conditions as us and different contexts and their opinions don't reflect what latinos think at all !! i remember when "oye, primos!" was released. americans seemed to think it was good or acceptable and didn't realize that the way they depicted us, even if it's accurate, is rooted in xenophobia or racism. not to mention the horrible grammar and bad writing itself like how emilia pérez is doing.

it's mostly just a response to the amount of mostly american and european (mostly spanish or french) attacks we get, but of course there are different latinos everywhere. some love usa, some hate it, some love a few of usa's characteristics and dislike others, some don't really care about them. i think it's because america is a pretty important country so most of what they do directly affects us!

Personally, as a Canadian, definitely not a fan of the current government. He is literally speaking of putting tariffs on our country that will destroy our economy. Additionally he is speaking of annexing our country and making it the 51st state. I’m quite proud to be Canadian and don’t want to be a citizen of another country not by choice.

As for the American population, the Americans I have met have all been wonderful people. And the times I have visited have been great. I may question why anyone would vote that man, not once but twice, into government, but nobody deserves to be hated for their country of origin.

I hope all this makes sense, I lowkey rambled. TLDR: hate the government not the people

It seems even German media thought that Trump is some type of clown and most people that voted for him in 2016 were underprivileged white village idiots. I guess nothing could be further from the truth. Germans always wanted the 'good guys' in the White House: Barack Obama, Joe Biden - and now Kamala Harris (even better would be Michelle Obama) as the new boss.

Americans who voted for Trump had similar reasons as Germans who voted for the AfD: worries and fears. And the hope that an extremely political group can help where well-established parties obviously failed. I didn't vote for the AfD but I understand why people voted for them. And many of their supporters aren't racists and/or village idiots.

i have a personal vengence against Michelle Obama bc of school foods also to me its scary that AFD got second place but im thankful elon didnt have too much of an impact

Being in a state where the party most voted is already predetermined sounds frustrating. I never understood blanketing an entire country (whether it be the US or another) with the same stereotype. Each state is so distinctively different. And there’s idiots that live everywhere globally, but unfortunately people associate it with the US only (not a fair assessment if you ask me). There was a news story I read recently where an American couple paid for all the patrons in a Canadian restaurant’s meals. They did so to “apologize for the political situation” in the US.

I'm an American, but from what I've noticed, non-Americans hate us bc of our government, the US's involvement/history in foreign relations, the average American's ignorance towards the world outside of it, and Americans' behavior as tourists in their respective areas.

I agree that these are huge general problems among our government and people. Most Americans around me are not great (but I also live in a state that sucks at everything so go figure)

Personal POV here: (im american)
I find that a lot of americans tend to be american in other countries whereas (probs) other people try to understand or fit in in other countries. The American mindset is a cult of the nation and I find that I have to suspend some of (a lot of) it to not have a "im from america" written across my 4head.

There's a lot of mental maneuver warfare that I have to do to genuinely parse what I'm doing and what they're doing, cultural references I do not have, and fitting that all into my next plan of action.

Edit: the historical hate is (im assuming) because of Kissinger on top of the American need to force others to american alignment instead of compromise or respecting distance or choice.

I honestly don't understand why people hate the country....I'm proud to be an american, It's easy to take for granted the freedoms we have here that most other countries don't and long for.

here it's the opposite, a lot of polish people idealise america for some reason like maybe not the youth but for example when our media see any celeb from our country do anything in the US, they hype it up to no end, we have a few tv shows which are basically "guy lives in america and does things" and many conservatives here agree with trump by saying shit like "thank god he's bringing normality back to that country" even though they never lived in it, because obviously they don't give a fuck that he's a convicted felon as long as he hates minorities as much as they do. as for me personally, i don't hate regular american people and i haven't seen anyone spread hatred towards them, only criticism towards the government's actions which is perfectly valid.
