이재명 더불어민주당 대표가 한일 정상회담에 혹평을 내렸다. 이 대표는 전쟁 범죄 피해자를 언급하며 윤석열 대통령을 향해 비판의 목소리를 냈다.

이 대표는 17일 국회 본청에서 열린 최고위원회의에서 “윤석열 정권이 결국 일본의 하수인이 되는 길을 선택했다”며 “일본에 조공을 바치고 화해를 간청하는 그야말로 항복식”이라고 말했다.

이 대표는 정부의 강제징용 제3자 배상안과 한일 정상회담 등에서 일본의 사과가 없었다고 비판했다. 이 대표는 “최대 현안인 강제 동원 문제에 대해서는 일본의 사죄나 반성이 전무했다. 우리 정부가 공언했던 일본의 대응조치는 언급조차 없었다”고 지적했다.

또 “오므라이스 한 그릇에 국가의 자존심과 피해자의 인권, 역사의 정의를 맞바꾼 것이라는 국민의 한탄이 들린다”고 꼬집었다.

일본 요미우리 신문과의 인터뷰에 대해서도 비판의 목소리를 냈다. 이 대표는 “대한민국의 대통령이 맞는지 의심”이라며 “정부의 배상안을 피해자가 공식 거부했고 국민도 반대하고 있다. 그런데 대통령은 구상권 청구는 없을 것이라며 일본의 눈치만 살폈다”고 했다.

아울러 “일본의 군사대국화, 평화헌법 무력화 시도까지 용인하겠다는 태도에는 아연실색”이라며 “이쯤 되면 친일 논쟁을 넘어 숭일 논쟁이 벌어질 지경”이라고 말했다.

민주당은 이를 굴욕외교로 규정하고 이에 대한 대책을 마련하겠다는 방침이다. 이 대표는 “피해자를 제물 삼아 대한민국을 일본의 하수인으로 전락시킨 망국적인 야합에 민주당이 결연하게 맞서 싸우겠다”고 다짐했다.

There was not even a mention of Japan's countermeasures that our government had professed."

He also said, "I hear the lamentations of the people that a bowl of omelet rice has been exchanged for national pride, the human rights of the victims, and the justice of history."

He also voiced criticism of an interview with Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun. "I doubt that the president of the Republic of Korea is right," Lee said, adding, "The victim has officially rejected the government's reparations proposal, and the people are opposing it. However, the president said that there would be no claim for the right to plan, and he only looked at Japan's eyes."

He also said, "Japan's attitude of tolerating attempts to neutralize the military greatness and the peaceful constitution is disturbing," adding, "At this point, the Sung-Japan debate will go beyond the pro-Japan debate to the point of becoming a Sung-Japan debate."

The MDP characterizes this as humiliation diplomacy and plans to prepare countermeasures. Representative Lee vowed, "The MDP will resolutely fight against the exile opposition that has reduced the Republic of Korea to Japan's agents by sacrificing victims."
