Amendment 25 section 3 lets a president temporarily transfer power from them to the vice president if they feel like they are unable to perform the duties of president due to incapacitation for some period of time. This can be for expected events or unexpected, and they make the vice president the acting president of the US. So far this section has been invoked 4 times, all for colon related reasons.
The first time was when Raegan was undergoing colon surgery under anesthesia, which would make him be considered incapacitated. This was denied at the time, but seems like Raegan later specifically said he invoked that section, which would make Bush the acting president. Bush invoked it twice to have a colonoscopy, making Cheney the acting president, and Biden invoked it once to have a colonoscopy, making Kamala Harris the acting president. These have been the only times that section has been used, though other sections of that amendment have been used before.
