10. this is true, although jyp, even though a lot of times he really just doesn't seem to care....there have been moments where he really did care for his idols

12. 10000000% agree...most of the idols don't get a say in what they wear on stage, and the stylists should really think about "will they be able to dance/move properly?", "will they be comfortable?" or "will this cause backlash from fans and the idols themselves and cause me to lose my job?"

4. that is factually correct, yes, but what i hate about discussions about this topic is that they very often forget to factor in a couple things - (a) hyuna and dawn had no choice but to break their relationship to the public tbh, rumours were flying left, right, and centre already based on their triple h performances, people were saying the ugliest things about hyuna because she was... being sexy onstage with a man 2 years her junior. the way i see it, at the time the two felt they had to do something about the situation. and what's so bad about falling in love anyway? which brings me to (b) i don't think idols should have no-dating clauses in their contract. i mean i know it's how the industry runs, on the basis of parasocial relationships that fans have with their faves, but frankly i personally think things shouldn't be this way, because what even is so wrong about love? idealistic, i know, but it did fuck their careers up quite a bit, and in an ideal world they wouldn' have had to go through this - cause fans wouldn't have given two shits

8. not just tan, come on. she is slightly thicker than the idol ideal, plus she doesn't necessarily conform to a ton of the korean beauty standards. people do generally find her attractive, but this is after the fuckton of hate she's gotten for not fitting some standards. granted, many korean people/celebs that are generally considered attractive do not necessarily tick off all beauty standards like a checklist, plus standards keep changing (despite the country's historical general preference for lighter skin, tanned skin was in fashion in the 00s. lee hyori, who is tan, was found extremely attractive then - and is still found extremely attractive now. so... yeah). but standards are strict, especially for idols, whose companies dictate nearly aspect of what they should look like. a figure like hwasa making it big indeed defies many standards - not just beauty standards, mind you - in the idol industry.

13. strongly agree. if i were her i'd leave the group, probably run away to some far off land, causing immense shock and confusion amongst sones, who would be forever divided. there would be little to no contact between me and the members. finally, after many years, i'd write a book about han sojung, a brilliant dancer and aspiring idol who debuts in a 9 membered kpop girl group under a leading korean entertainment company, but who always gets the shortest end of the styling stick, and eventually runs away, distressed by the clothes and the hairstyles she'd get.

I agree and idols shouldn't have to sacrifice their career for love but at the same time if they didn't kick them out people would start shit that there were double standards and whatnot. But companies don't enforce these rules until something gets big and publicized which is the most unfair part to me (unless you're in JYP you could massacre a primary school for all that man cares)
