dont know if this is the right section (pls do tell me where to place in the future if not) but might be just a bit biased due to me being a classical musician but honestly its great ! though there are composers or pieces i personally dont like but what are ur opinions on it

I love classical music but I have very specific taste. I vastly prefer pieces either led by a piano or piano solos, and my favourite era is the late romantic period/impressionist era of the late 1800s/early 1900s. My favourite composers are all french pianists from that time: Erik Satie, Ravel and Debussy.

I don't really seek out classical music intentionally.

But, if they're used in films or TV shows that fit the tone, then I enjoy them.

For example ~ The Blue Danube Waltz used in Squid Game TV show, during the staircases scene.

There are other examples from other shows / films, but I cannot recall right now.

the second one sounds depressing. idk what a pavane is, but I knew right away what "infante defunte" is the French for (I'm currently learning it and Spanish in my free time)...

anyway, I try to avoid classical music. I did use to like it when I played violin, especially when hearing our orchestra pieces on the radio lol (we were doing Dance of the Tumblers [I forget who composed it] one time, and I just randomly heard it on the radio one day and was like "OMG we're playing that in school!" lol), but not really anymore.

Pavane was a slow processional dance from the Spanish court in the 15th/16th century (or so I have just learned!) so it is usually translated as ‘Pavane for a Dead Princess’ and was meant to be a nostalgia piece about the old Spanish Court rather than about someone in particular, so not as depressing as you might think 🙂
