opinions on Cortis' debut EP? (2 Viewers)

because I don't like when people are dismiss anything that is not typical idol music in k-pop, which I felt like you are doing with cortis.

I'm not dismissing their work, as i said their beats are so normal that I can't believe this is a conversation I'm having, but what I am saying is that this example of 'non typical idol music' as you call it (what is 'typical idol music' anyways?) isn't doing anything to progress the industry. That's why I'm saying they're getting the worst of both worlds: They're doing such normal beige music in an industry that doesn't really care about the music at all. They would be better off discovering all of this with higher ups and fans who DON'T breathe down their necks. You act like having members write the songs is what makes it good when it's not, these guys seem inexperienced and would be better with growing their artistry instead of focusing on fan service and making sure their dance moves are 1% more sharp.
It's good to encourage people song write and create, and I admire that they're ambitious about being a self-creating group that's trying to separate themselves from other (self-creating) groups, but their potential won't ever be met under such strict conditions. My thoughts about the group are well-intended but their boots are too big for k-pop and that's a GOOD thing.

I lied, I'll respond to this:
I'm talking about them as idols. Me saying that they don't fit the idol industry is a good thing because the idol industry is ultimately limiting in terms of expression. You say these things but don't know what's going on behind the scenes. This is why I believe in Cortis' potential but without the support of K-pop, because in the end company interests will sabotage them.
I understand you're really passionate about Hybe groups but it's okay to disagree. This isn't a fight about who's right, this is how we interpret the group in this context, which we also see very differently. And that's okay.

you should have said this in the beginning since I do agree with you besides hybe "potentially" sabotaging them, I'm mean they don't fit the idol industry but they already have groups like that before, Winner and iKON are good examples.
