That's a weird uniform change.

Everyone wears jeans, so making it a dress code is silly to me.
Unless they are doing it to cover up tattoos

You have to conform if you want to stay on the job.

And, yes, jeans are casual wear, or dressing down because you are more comfortable in them, unless you're told to wear something like dress pants/slacks, then those are considered dressing up.

Personally I’d definitely be more comfortable in slacks/dress pants. But that’s definitely a weight issue and not a unform issue
