Block B’s Park Kyung will be forwarded to the prosecution following his accusations of other artists committing chart manipulation.

On June 17, the Seoul Seongdong Police Station announced that they would be forwarding Park Kyung’s case to the prosecution with a recommendation of indictment without detention for defamation for spreading false information according to the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. A police representative stated, “We concluded that Park Kyung had spread false information. We will forward the case to the prosecution this week, if early, or sometime next week at the latest.”

In late November, Park Kyung restarted the conversation about suspicions of widespread sajaegi (the manipulation of sales numbers through an artist’s own agency bulk buying or streaming). He wrote in a now-deleted tweet, “I want to do sajaegi like Vibe, like Song Ha Ye, like Lim Jae Hyun, like Jeon Sang Keun, like Jang Deok Cheol, and like Hwang In Wook ^^;;.”

Currently, all the artists mentioned are taking legal action against him. Park Kyung also postponed his enlistment due to the investigation.

According to reports, Park Kyung has been actively participating in the police investigation, and he voluntarily attended his first police questioning in March.

I would assume so, the Korean Police is bad but they cant be that bad to not investigate the others

Well they could have left prove of burden to Park Kyung since he apparently brought some prove to back his claims. If they left the burdern of prove to him and he couldn't give them proof that was damning enough, they could have put it down as false accusations even if it wasn't investigated

Well sajaegi is huge issue in Korea's music industry, but nobody has been solving it. It's talked about, but nobody has been found guilty. It won't change until the police actually investigates these artists and businesses that seem to have weird numbers.

Maybe, I just see the burden of proof being on the accuser. Otherwise it would be too easy to just accuse everyone left and right, and as you can see a lot of times those who accuse are automatically assumed to be right.

Real questions... we still don't have Burning Sun solved, but apparently sajaegi stuff is easy.. well i'm rly thinking that police didn't investigate Park Kyung's claims at all and judge just sentenced him for accusing without enough prove.
