It was clear something more happened than JYP was letting on. She ain’t coming back to Nmixx. She wasn’t behind that door in the Uoung Dumb Stupid teaser. And knowing the way JYP (the company) works, we may never get an answer unless Jinni herself says something.​

Definitely seeing a woojin kinda comeback, but not nmixx. I always say let us leave what was in the past in the past. It would be weird if she came back now. Again ppl would speculate.

but she was trainee in JYP for a long time, as we know from Momo that they would hang out together while Momo was still a trainee, so that means at least 7 years? (probably more)

So even if she was in nmixx for a rather short time, she still has a long connection to the company, so I find it understandable that fans think she might return.. (I do not believe that will happen myself)

There aren’t any cases i can think of where a former group member came back after leaving. And i can list many many idols like this from ONF Laun, Ghost9’s two ex-members, winners ex-members, wjsn china line, monsta x wonho, purple kiss jieun, oneus ravn, ranias many ex members, idle soojin, dkz’s two members, tvxq ex three members, ikon bi, treasure’s two former members etc. you can make the argument for all of them that they spent a lot of time training and some have been in their groups for years, but none of them ever returned. And not all of them have huge controversy under their belts either.

honestly, I can’t make a broad blanket statement as to why this is as the situations are different for every group and member, but what i can say is that a lot of times, especially when the group is doing stably well, companies are unlikely to start up controversy and rock the boat. Again, I’m sure most would be happy with jinni’s return but with many unknown variables and how stable and well nmixx is doing, it is unrealistic for jyp to make big risky moves like that. They have a bottom line to think about.

I mean, highly unlikely when you look at the other idols who have "left" (or in some cases, extremely obviously kicked out of) JYPE groups. You have 2PM's Jay Park, Wonder Girls' Hyuna, Stray Kids' Woojin, and Day6's Junhyeok, all of whom have been able to return to the industry with varying degrees of success.

As far as I'm aware, I've never seen an artist return to the same label, regardless of parting ways amicably or not.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Technically when Wonho left Monsta X and moved to Highline for his solo career, he didn't fully leave starship since Highline is still a subsidiary of starship ent. But it's not really the same as being under starship directly like the rest of monsta x and other starship artists.
