Well, this is not unexpected. They always said we will need another shot. I guess it will be similar to the flu shot and you need to refresh it frequently

I'm not really surprised to be honest though the bigger issue is that it's going to keep getting worse the longer we take to get people vaccinated. It's mostly unvaxxed people who end up causing the virus to mutate and form more (and stronger) variants. The only way things are getting better is if we can get as many people as possible to get their shots as quickly as possible.
